Lindsay

A self-confessed music fanatic, Lindsay grew up in Caterham, just a few miles north of East Grinstead and knows the area really well. He even held his 21st birthday party at The Wiremill and frequently danced Sunday nights away at the Red Barn way back when in the mists of time. He now lives near Horsham with his wife Janet and still has several friends living in the East Grinstead area.

Lindsay’s deep passion for music was initially influenced by his paternal grandfather – a classically trained professional pianist. However, as he entered his teens his music taste swiftly moved away from a classical diet of Beethoven, Handel and Mozart towards the popular genres of his youth – namely soul, funk, disco, every kind of rock under the sun, punk, reggae, ska, blues and new wave.

Tune in to Lindsay’s Soul Sessions every Wednesday afternoon from 3pm-5pm, as he showcases the big names in Atlantic, Motown, Stax and Philly, plus forgotten artists and deep cuts from the past. Lindsay promises to play “only killers and no fillers” from his extensive collection of soul, funk, disco and blues, so put on your dancing shoes and “get down on it” with Meridan FM’s resident soul man every Wednesday afternoon.

When he’s not in the studio or at a live gig, you can often find Lindsay at his spiritual home “Selhurst Park”, vociferously supporting his beloved Eagles!
